It is nearly impossible to search online for the quality of a graduate accounting program outside of sources like US News. So if it's not ranked in US News, then it's sort of difficult to determine the quality. However, it doesn't mean a program isn't any good if it isn't ranked on US News. One of the things I would go by then is whether a graduate program is accredited by AACSB, which is the preeminent accrediting body for business programs. The CSULA business prorgram is accredited by AACSB at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Therefore, all programs/disciplines (accounting, finance, info. systems etc.) within both graduate and undergraduate levels must meet strict standards to qualify for AACSB accrediation. CSULA has consistently been accredited at both levels longer than most schools in Califorina. That's one way you can measure the quality of the program, although there are probably other ways as well. But take my word for it, AACSB is a pretty strong seal of approval.
